During his fifty years as an advertising agency art director and graphic designer, Norman Gorbaty’s work included the product launch of the IBM Selectric Typewriter, Pampers and Crest Toothpaste. He also designed credits for major motion pictures, the redesign and covers for Time Magazine and US News & World Report, and illustrated numerous children’s books. Norman also produced fine art during his spare time, amassing a large collection of works on paper and sculpture.
We collaborated with Norman to produce two books of his fine art, “Works of a Modern Master” and “To Honor My People: Judaica.” We made a painstaking effort to retouch photographs of his pen and ink drawings, pastels and oil painting to match the originals and prepare them for reproduction. Additionally, we took care of the book design, layout and typography and supervision of the printing.
