Randall’s Island Sports Alliance

Andrew Patapis Design first became involved with Randall’s Island in 1997, working on the “Softball, N.Y.” fundraiser. Our designs were also the driving force for events such as “Celebration of Soccer in the USA,” Randall’s Island “Sportsfest,” “Champions for Children,” “Tennis Champions for Children” and “Fielding Dreams NYC.”

Randall’s Island “Sportsfest” was a full day of interactive sporting events for children, featuring food and family activities. We created a series of “Matisse-inspired” figures that were incorporated into the design of the Sportsfest’s posters, flags, signage, banners, tote bags, bandanas, stickers and balloons.

In 2012, when Randall’s Park wanted to appeal to a more diverse, mature audience with an emphasis on the Arts, Music and Nature, we were engaged to create the “Fielding Dreams NYC” logomark and the associated materials for the event including a save the date and invitation package.
